- I am mommy to SIX ages 14, 12, 10, 6, 6, and 3. Our family was pieced together from 3 different countries through the miracle of adoption from Ethiopia and Guatemala. Our home is always a 3 ring circus, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. This year we will begin homeschooling the youngest 4 with many classical components. We are so excited and eager to see where God leads us next!

We beg our blog readers to visit Mayan Families and see if there's any way you can help. This organization goes a long way in helping the children and families most in need in Guatemala. Until you've seen some of the poverty and suffering in that area, you would never believe it. It isn't even something our brain is programmed to understand. Looking at all these adoption blogs with beautiful, smiling, clean, well dressed babies makes it so easy to forget that there are so many just like them with no clean water to bathe in, no warm place to sleep at night, and their hungry tummies makes it hard to smile. There are many ways to help to fit different budgets. No gift is too small.
